Some sort of milestone?

I am being paid to work on IPA Zounds! Several features are being sponsored by one of the conlangers over at zompist bboard. Payment made via items on my Amazon wishlist.

I find this nifty for a number of reasons:

it’s yet more evidence that people will pay for free software;
it indicates that the program is recognised as good, and that my skills are up to the task;
I get some stuff that I probably otherwise wouldn’t, but would like to read/watch/listen to; and
the requested features are good ones, and will make the program more useful to people.

Fantastic! well done for sticking your neck out and doing the project before any rewards were in the offing.

What is more, your experience prompted me to pass a milestone of my own: it inspired me to donate - for the first time - towards free software I've been using and loving for a long time now (Firefox). Yippee!
